SPORTSMANSHIP RECIPIENTS
We gave Drew Sandler a Sportsmanship Award. He has been part of the Rock for
many years as a student and an instructor in the Martial Arts. As part of the
NDMAI, he has spent many hours in rooms #205 and #109 helping students,
faculty and staff attain their black belts. He has asked for a mop to clean the
mats after his class and a broom to sweep up after breaking boards. Drew is the
true definition of a good sport. |

| This award is presented in recognition of Coach Charlie Weis' leadership and values demonstrated for opponents in his post game actions following the University of Southern California and the Naval Academy football games this past season. By visiting the USC locker room after the game Coach Weis provided a powerful example of a "good loser" and appreciation for healthy competition. The Notre Dame team, led by coach Weis, joined the Navy team during the traditional playing of the Naval Academy "Navy Blue and Gold" after the game is another example of showing appreciation for your opponent and recognizing the Navy team members for their commitment to serve the United States of America. |

JeanAnne and Rich Strebinger have been swimming at the Rolfs since opening day 20 years ago. They are the "poster couple" for sportsmanship. Both are constantly encourageing others and leading by example. They informed me that each children has received the award for sportsmanship on local swimteams over the years. |

| Mary Kerby has been swimming here for 20 years faithfully. She has endured the ever changing pool configurations and occasional maintenance inconveniences with a smile and good humor. Mary is always delighted with the water quality, friendly staff and the prevlidge of using Rolfs pool. She is an extra good sport and a valued customer. |
