The Gymnastics Club provides gymnasts, and those striving to be gymnasts, an opportunity to train, learn, and compete. The club is open to students of all three schools—Notre Dame, Saint Mary’s, and Holy Cross. Practices are held every weekday, year-round, though team members may choose which practices to attend according to their schedules. In order to be eligible for competitions, team members must come to practice on a consistent basis—preferably twice per week, minimum. The team is open to people of all skill levels, and thus practice is a relaxed environment where gymnasts are able to dictate their own intensity level. Competitions are offered, though not required of team members—however, many feel it is a great opportunity to further bond with teammates and get to know gymnasts at schools across the region and country. Gymnastics competes throughout the Midwest during spring semester, highlighted by our home meet, the Clover Classic. In addition to this, the club also attends the NAIGC National Championships nearly every year at the conclusion of our season.
