Spouses of all Notre Dame students are eligible to use the athletic/recreation facilities. Student Spouse cards are issued by Notre Dame. Spouses can obtain such a card by doing the following:
Notre Dame issued Student Spouse Card:
The card will visually and electronically identify this person as a student’s spouse. At the present time the following privileges are available for these individuals: access into student only Student Activity events including Legends programs, access into RecSports facilities, meal plan and debit card use (Domer Dollars) and library use. If you would like to use the card for electronic access or privileges control purposes please contact the Card Services Office at 1-7814 to initiate the process. A student or student’s spouse must create a record in the system which must be done at the school where the student is enrolled, (Law, Business, Grad, undergraduates should be directed to the Registrar’s Office). Once the record is created the Card Services office will print the card for a nominal fee of $5.
Families
Notre Dame and the Office of Recreational Sports recognize the importance of family recreation. The purpose of providing “family hours” for the children of Notre Dame students and employees is to encourage family recreation time for parents and children. The intention is for parents to recreate with, and provide supervision for, their children during these hours. Essentially, families only have use of the facilities during designated “Family Hours” time slots.
Adult Dependent
Adult Dependents of all Notre Dame faculty, staff, and students are eligible to use the athletic/recreation facilities simply by showing a RecSports Adult Dependent Card. Adult Dependents can obtain such a card by doing the following:
Employees/students or their spouses may request a RecSports Adult Dependent Card for their children who are 18 or older and are legal dependents. Children may not request cards on their own. Employees (or their spouse) must bring a valid Notre Dame ID and proof of dependency, e.g. a tax return or insurance card of their adult child, as well as proof of their child’s age. The dependent card allows adult children to use the facilities without supervision of a parent, but they must pay the applicable guest fee—$3.00 for example, at the Rockne Memorial and the Rolfs Sports Recreation Center.
Note: RecSports Athletic Department User ID cards expire on September 1 of each year. New cards may be requested beginning August 15, using the same process outlined above.
