Climbing Wall Supervisor

DUTIES: Orient & supervise climbers. Maintain facility & equipment.
TIME: 6-8 hours/week

Fitness Instructor

DUTIES: Ensure participant safety. Design & implement a safe & effective classes. Ability to teach step, toning, cardio box, cardio sculpt, abs, lo impact formats. Classes can be tailored to individual’s experience & ability eg. hip hop. Instructors provide their own music & are expected to continue learning by attending other classes, workshops, etc.
TIME: 2-3 classes/week.

Lifeguard

Lifeguard Job Description
DUTIES: Ensure patron safety in the aquatic facilities. Maintain cleanliness of facilities. Ensure all patrons abide by University policies & guidelines. Must have current lifeguarding, First Aid, and CPR for the professional rescuer certifications.
TIME: 6-12 hours/week

Swim Instructor

DUTIES: Provide group swimming lessons to children ages 6 months-18 years. Instructors will be placed in a level that is suitable to their teaching style. Adult lessons and private lessons are also available on a limited basis. Instructors are expected to demonstrate proper technique on all swimming strokes. Maintain appropriate records of all lessons taught. Instructors must maintain WSI certification and attend all training sessions.
TIME: 4-6 hours/week (lessons are on Sundays from 11:00am-1:00pm and weekdays from 5:30pm-7:30pm)

Beach Lifeguard

DUTIES: Oversee operations of St. Joe Beach & lake. Ensure patron safety when swimming, on beach, & boating. Maintain cleanliness of boathouse & beach. Ensure all patrons abide by University policies & guidelines. Assist with RecSports & University special events held at St. Joe lake.
TIME: 12 hours/week
DATES: May – August
REPORTS TO: Aquatics Coordinator

DUTIES: Officiate baseball, softball, flag football, basketball, hockey & lacrosse.
TIME: Changes depending on sport, season, number of scheduled games.
DATES: Sports are scheduled during the academic year when school is in session.

Photographer/Videographer

DUTIES: Responsible for the operation of RecSports’ cameras at RecSports activities. Production of videos, maintain a digital photo album & make photos available to RecSports professional staff.
TIME: 5-10 hours/week

Rockne Supervisor

DUTIES: Supervise entry into the Rockne Memorial, ensure patron safety, provide excellent customer service, upkeep of weight room and administrative duties including answering phones, checking in/out equipment, performing facility counts, attending to emergency situations. Supervisors are expected to demonstrate safe & effective use of strength equipment, enforce policies & procedures and provide general facility/program information.
TIME: 8-10 hours/week
DATES: Academic year when classes are in session and during summer months
REPORTS TO: Rockne Building Manager

RSRC Supervisor

DUTIES: Supervise entry into the RSRC, ensure patron safety, provide excellent customer service, upkeep of fitness room and administrative duties including answering phones, checking in/out equipment, performing facility counts, attending to emergency situations, laundering towels, etc… Supervisors are expected to demonstrate safe & effective use of fitness equipment, enforce policies & procedures and provide general facility/program information.
TIME: 8-12 hours/week
DATES: Academic year when classes are in session and during summer months
REPORTS TO: Assistant Director, Special Events/Family Programming/Facilities

RecSports Supervisor

DUTIES: Supervise intramural events on site as well as assist in other RecSports events such as the Domer Run and Late Night Olympics. Perform administrative duties including participant communications, data input, upkeep of team records and standings.
TIME: 10-15 hours/week

Student Computer Assistant

DUTIES: Primarily supports recreation facility and program scheduling. Other duties include design & development for newsletters, promotional materials & other computer-related projects.
TIME: Approximately 12 hours/week

Men’s Boxing Club Manager

DUTIES: Administrative duties include compiling boxer data, assist in planning and implementing Bengal Bouts, accounting large sums of money and coordinating with different departments on campus. Individual must be extremely responsible, well organized, proficient in Microsoft Office applications and willing to take on the challenge of continuing a great ND tradition! Hours are typically Monday-Friday, 3:30-6:30. However, the individual must have some flexibility to work some weekends, attend meetings and/or run errands.
TIME: 10-15 hours/week
