Since 1985, Rolfs Aquatic Center has been the campus home for varsity swimming and diving and recreational swim, as well as for campus water polo and triathlon clubs sports. This $4.5-million natatorium was the gift of brothers Thomas Rolfs ’44 and Robert Rolfs ’50, and provides the University with a modern facility on par with other Olympic-scale pools in the country. Adjacent to the northeast side of the Joyce Center field house, this state-of-the-art natatorium provides seating for 400 people and a generous video and replay screen. Thanks to smart, innovative design, Rolf's 50-meter Olympic swimming pool allows for multiple events to occur simultaneously, with two moveable bulkheads and 14 foot deep end with diving competition equipment. Offices for coaches are alongside the pool. In addition, Rolfs provides recreational swimming for students and employee families at set times.
