What am I able to
register for online?
Currently, only our Fitness Classes are available for registration using the
RecRegister Online system. Instructional classes and
Intramurals may be added in the future.
About how long will it
take to register online?
It should take around 10 minutes.
What do I need to have in
order to register online?
Students, employees, and retirees will need their Notre Dame ID
card, netID (ex: jsmith1) and
password, name of insurance company, and a Visa or MasterCard.
Spouses of students, employees and retirees will need to have
their husband or wife register them for class(es) using the same
information above.
If I am a spouse of a
student, employee, or retiree why can’t I register myself?
In order to
determine eligibility of our class participants, our
registration system requires users to login to the RecRegister system using
their netID and password. Because spouses are not given netID’s,
the student, employee, or retiree must login and register them for the class(es). According to University Policy, network
accounts, passwords, and other types of authorization assigned to
individual users must not be shared
Where can I register?
You can register anywhere with Internet access if paying by
credit card, but Rolfs
Sports
Recreation
Center
(RSRC) will also have computers set up. If paying with cash or check, you must
register at the front desk of RSRC.
Do I have to register
online or can I sign-up on paper like it was done in the past?
All fitness class registrations must be completed online
using RecRegister, either from your own computer or from one on-site at our facilities.
Can I still save spots
for my friends?
Unfortunately, no. Each person will need to login to the system
separately in order to verify eligibility.
Can a student, employee,
or retiree register together with their spouse at the same time?
No, each person will need
to login to the system separately in order to verify
eligibility. If you would
both like to register for a class, the student, employee, or
retiree will need to complete a transaction, login again, and
repeat the process for the spouse.
As a spouse, how do I get
a Notre Dame Spouse ID card?
There are different ways
to get an ID card, depending on the type of spouse:
Student
Spouse: The
spouse must create a record in the system with the school
n which their husband or wife is enrolled (ex: Law, Business,
Grad, Undergraduates should go to the Registrar’s Office). Once the record is created, Card Services, located at South Dining Hall, will print a card for a $5
fee.
Employee Spouse: Spouse must go to HR in order to receive a card. HR will print a card for a $5 fee.In
order for spouses to get into RecSports facilities where classes
are offered, they will
need to have a valid Notre Dame Spouse ID card.
How do I know if a class
is full?
You will know a class is
full if only a “Join Waitlist” option is available or you
receive an error message saying the class is “not available at
this time.” RecSports website will be updated as classes close.
After I join a waitlist,
how will I know if I get into the class?
If space becomes available in a closed class, RecSports will
email waitlisted people in
the order they were added to the waitlist. Once they confirm they want to still be registered, the credit card will be charged or they will
be asked to come in and pay by cash
or check.
Who should I contact if I
need help registering online?
There are several
ways you can get help with the registration. You can come in to the RSRC and an employee will
assist you. You can
call (574) 631-6100 or the RecSports hotline at (574) 631-8REC. You can also email RecRegister@nd.edu for assistance. There will also be an AIM screen name (NDRecReg) set
up to help the first day
of registration.
Is there a risk entering credit card information online
using RecRegister?
When you leave the
Notre Dame RecSports webpage, you enter a secure website for
RecRegister. RecRegister
uses the Touch Net System which meets PCI compliance standards.
What does PCI compliance
mean?
PCI (Payment Card Industry) compliance is important in terms of
protecting people from identify theft. Customers should be wary of entering sensitive
information such as credit card or personal information on any
site that doesn’t meat PCI compliance standards.
