Rolfs Sports Recreation Center Employee of the Month: Andy McGloin
Ladies and gentlemen, may I present to you the outstanding Rolfs employee for the month of November: Andy McGloin! I'm truly honored to write a glowin' report of this young, strong, and handsome man. Andy is a sophomore aerospace engineering major, and he hails from the "Ruff Buff" off the eastern shore of Lake Erie. He took Rolfs by storm as a freshman last year. Daily count statistics show that female use of the fitness room increased by 156% when Mr. McGloin was on duty, so eager were they to catch a glimpse of such a rare and impressive specimen. But just when we all thought Andy couldn't possibly improve in any way, he proved us all wrong. After a summer's study in London, Andy now endears all his coworkers with a lovely British accent that would make Hugh Grant blush.
Andy strives for perfection in everything he does, including his work at Rolfs. He is always smiling and cheerful. He helps his coworkers by substituting shifts. He shows up on time and is extremely meticulous in his work. He is professional in every sense of the word, even when regaling me about his weekend escapades. Alas, every hero has his tragic flaw, and Andy is no exception. Andy has the misfortune of residing in Alumni Hall, and what's worse, he's proud of it. As a resident of Alumni's bigger and better next door neighbor to the west, I can't help but pity him a little bit. Nevertheless, it has been an absolute joy working alongside Andy, and I couldn't imagine a more deserving candidate for Employee of the Month. Here's to you, Mr. McGloin!

Intramurals Employee of the Month: Paul Mundaden
Paul Mundaden is a great employee who is always having a good time. He is able to enforce the rules and policies and still have fun at his job. He helps out with special events and is a good representation of RecSports while participating in Intramurals. Paul is always willing to help out and teach the new staff members and officials. People enjoy working with Paul because they are confident he will do his job and he is a blast to work with. Players also respect Paul because he has great rapport with them.
– Alexandra Morrison, Intramurals Intern
Rockne Employee of the Month: Horacio Noriega
Horacio Noriega is this month’s "Rockne Employee of the Month". Horacio is being recognized for his great customer service skills and his flexibility. He was hired this past summer for the front desk and weight room position. His customer service skills were put to the test many times last summer when he had to explain why the facility was closing early because of the unsafe heat index. He uses patience and understanding when he is explaining policies to our patrons. If he doesn’t understand something then he will ask a question about it. A simple concept that works. Throughout the semester Horacio has come in early or stayed late and is always asking if we have anything extra that may need to be done. On behalf of the full time staff of the Rockne Memorial, We would like to to say Thank you, and we appreciate your hard work.
- Matt Lewandowski, Rockne Memorial Student Manager
