Notre Dame came away undefeated in a play day hosted by Marquette University this past weekend. The Irish faced Marquette in their first game. Freshman Amy Eginton was leading scorer with 3 goals to give the Irish a 19-8 win. For the second game in a row, freshman Maggie Holohan led the team in draw controls with 4 of 13.
Immediately after the win against Marquette, the Irish faced Michigan State University. Freshman Hannah Dunn contributed an impressive 8 goals for a 20-17 win. The teams were neck and neck throughout the game but the Irish managed to hold on to their lead until the end.
The Irish ended the day strong with a big win against Wisconsin. Junior midfielder Mary Kate Nawalaniec led the team with 3 goals and 1 assist. An additional 11 Irish players put up points to make the final score 17-5.
With a record of 4-0, Notre Dame will hit the road again on March 28 to play Purdue, Toledo, and Ball State at Lake Forest College.
