Aquatics
Welcome to Aquatics at the University of Notre Dame Office of Recreational Sport. RecSports offers a wide variety of aquatic activities including Recreational Swimming, Swim Lessons, Masters Swimming, Lifeguarding Classes, Water Safety Instructor Classes, Aquacise Classes, SCUBA, Club Water Polo, and the Triathlon Club.
RecSports has two aquatic facilities:
The Rolfs Aquatics Center is a multi-use facility that combines Recreation, Varsity Athletics,Club Sports, Continuing Education, and private user groups. The Rolfs Aquatic Center houses a fifty-meter lap pools which has three 1-Meter diving boards, and two 3-meter diving boards. Several different programs and events take place at the Rolfs Aquatic Center throughout the year including large swim meets, competitive swimming, recreational swimming, adult swim lessons, water polo tournaments, and group training.
The Rockne Memorial is a multi-use facility that combines Recreation, Club Sports, Fitness, Continuing Education, and Private User Groups. The Rockne Memorial Pool has a 25 yard lap pool and a 15 yard shallow water exercise and therapy pool.
Aquatic programs are offered at both the Rolfs Aquatic Center and the Rockne Memorial Pool on a year-round basis. Available activities include Group Swimming Lessons, Private Swimming Lessons, American Red Cross certification classes, as well as group water aerobics classes offered through the fitness program.
