How do I join a Club Sport?
You may write or call the club’s contact person, advisor or the RecSports club sports staff. You may also learn more about the clubs and joining by attending Activities Night at the beginning of the academic year.
Can Saint Mary’s or Holy Cross students be club members?
All clubs except men’s and women’s boxing, and men’s volleyball are open to St. Mary’s and Holy Cross students. St. Mary's and Holy Cross students are encouraged to join any of the other club sports.
When are travel rosters and driver’s forms due before traveling to a competition off campus?
All forms related to travel must be submitted 48 hours before leaving campus. If a travel roster is submitted by the Tuesday before the trip, the club will not have to hand carry it to Student Affairs.
When should expense reports be submitted?
Expense reports should be submitted with receipts the Monday following the trip. However, Tuesday is acceptable if the club is having difficulty collecting receipts from members. On rare occasions, Wednesday may be permissible if the club calls in advance with an explanation.
When are Club Sports results to be reported?
Clubs are to e-mail the results to the Assistant Director Dave Brown no later than 11:00 AM the Monday following the competition.
Are faculty and staff permitted to join a club?
They may join and participate in practices, but they may not compete nor be club officers.
Is RecSports involved if a club works with Student Activities on a fund raiser?
Clubs must first submit all artwork for approval by RecSports before submitting it to Student Activities who in turn seeks approval from Licensing.
