Men's Competitive Club Sports

Rowing

Both experienced and novice rowers have the opportunity to represent Notre Dame at regattas. Rowing competes in both the fall and spring, with dry land conditions in the winter. Annual competition includes the Head of the Charles in Boston, the Southern Intercollegiate Rowing Association’s in Oak Ridge, TN, and ECAC championships.

Rugby

The Men’s Rugby Club is a High Performance Club playing in Division 1 of the Midwest Rugby Union. Games are played in the Fall and Spring and all students at Notre Dame and Holy Cross are eligible to join the club.

Volleyball

Tryouts are conducted in the early fall, followed by three-hour practices three times weekly, in preparation for spring play in the Midwest Intercollegiate Volleyball Association. The club consistently finishes in the top 30 nationally among the 180 National Intramural Recreation Sports Association member schools.

Waterpolo

The club now competes in the Great Lakes League, and is traditionally one of the stronger clubs in the Midwest. The club has qualified for the national championships on several occasions in recent years. Students of all experience levels are welcome to play.
