Women's Competitive Club Sports

Equestrian

Consistently one of the top teams in Region 2, the equestrians again garnered many high-point and reserve high-points honors this year. Using a local stable and coach, the club offers lessons and schooling weekly to riders of all levels, including novice. Undergraduates are eligible to compete in any of 10 regular season shows as members of the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association.

Figure Skating

An increasingly competitive force in the collegiate skating world, the Notre Dame Figure Skating Team accommodates both singles and synchronized skaters. As members of the Midwestern conference, the synchronized skating team competes in four competitions throughout the year and practices four times a week. Singles skaters attend a varying number of competitions thorough the year and can practice twice a week. No experience is necessary, however, Juvenile moves are recommended for synchronized team members.

Ice Hockey

The Women’s Hockey team combines a relaxed atmosphere with a competitive spirit as it competes throughout the winter season. The team travels all over the Midwest, from Chicago to St. Louis, and hosts several games at home. Teamwork and good sportsmanship have been an essential part of previous seasons. Good leadership skills are acquired by giving girls from each class a chance to serve as team officers.

Women’s rugby is a competitive club, open to all Notre Dame, Saint Mary’s and Holy Cross students.

Waterpolo

The club is consistently ranked among the top ten nationally, often challenging for the national championship, as well as the Midwest Conference Championship. Players of all skill levels are welcome.
