From fitness classes to seasonal programs, RecSports Fitness offers something for everyone. WIth an emphasis on fun, we provide a wide spectrum of programming specially geared to enhance the mind, body and spirit with the Notre Dame community in mind.

Classes

RecSports offers over 75 types of fitness classes in fall, spring and summer, guaranteeing to find something for everyone. Semester-long classes, including Zumba, Aquacise, Indoor Cycling, Pilates, a variety of Yoga, among others, run the span of the academic year. Faculty and Staff Training schedule (FAST) which is open to University employees, their spouses and retirees is also available. Finally, our Instructional series offerings grow each year, running in weeks rather than the entire semester. Learn a new skill or perfect an existing one through instruction, as we offer everything from dance to tennis, LIfeguard certification to martial arts.

WalkND

WalkND is the University of Notre Dame’s official walking club is free and open to the entire campus. Take your first step on the path to good health for life, and learn more about the benefits to a walking routine. Turning walking into part of a daily ritual, coupled with a nutricious diet, can reduce the risk of conditions, such as type 2 diabetes, heart disease, hypertension, and osteoporosis. Join today!

Our gorgeous Notre Dame campus is filled with opportunities for outdoor recreation that suits a variety of fitness needs. From navigating the figure eight around St. Joseph and St. Mary's lakes, to the campus perimeter, these routes will be a great beginning guide to outdoor exploration.

Free Services

With our RecSports Free Services, patrons can have their body composition, blood pressure and heart rate by a RecSports fitness professional at no charge. Drop ins are welcome or contact RecSports to schedule an appointment. We also offer a variety of consultation and orientation, including strength training. Fitness professionals are always available to meet with you to discuss general health and fitness topics.
