How to Become an Official
- Call or email Derek Neill at 631-3536
- Fill out an application at RecSports in the Rolfs Sports Recreation
Center
- Complete a sport specific test
- Some sports include a mandatory training clinic
- Students must also complete the necessary employment paperwork
in the RecSports Office to get paid.
Starting wage for new officials is $8.00 per game/hour, games
last approximately one hour.
A schedule is prepared for Intramural officials for the entire sports
season (usually 4-6 weeks) and must be picked up in the RecSports
Office. Games are scheduled Sunday-Thursday, late afternoons and
evenings. Students are assigned officiating shifts based on qualifications,
evaluations, test scores, past performance and availability.
