O'Leary Cup

Congratulations to Alumni for their ourstanding Hall performance and sportsmanship in 2011/2012! Visit Men's Points 2011-12 to view the final Hall standings.
Alumni Hall has capped off its historic run for the cup and has won the prestigious award for the first time in the modern history of the all-sports championship. Alumni earned championships in Bowling and Golf. Besides the championship victories, they proved that they were taking the all-sports aspect of the award to heart, qualifying for the playoffs in Dodgeball, Football, ‘B’ Basketball, Ice Hockey, Lacrosse, Soccer, Team Table Tennis, Team Racquetball, and Team Tennis. While the teams were racking up victories, the enthusiasm in the hall was at an all-time high which was evident in the hall being featured in two RecSports Game of the Week match-ups, Bowling and Ice Hockey.
O'Leary Cup
The O’Leary Cup, formerly known as the Interhall All-Sports Trophy, is awarded to the Men’s Residence Hall that best exemplifies the spirit of RecSports Interhall participation, sportsmanship, and competition.
In September of 2011, the trophy was named in honor of Richard D. O’Leary, late Director of Intramurals and Club Sports, who was instrumental in developing the RecSport's all-sport trophies. In June of 2009, O'Leary lost his battle to cancer-related illness at age 62. A member of the University’s Athletic department for 37 years, O'Leary was responsible for over 60 intramural activities and supervised its club sports teams.
