About

Late Night Olympics (LNO) is an olympic-style competition between campus residence halls that raises awareness and support for Special Olympics of St. Joseph’s County. Halls compete in a variety of activities- such as volleyball, basketball, battleship, and inner tube water polo- that test both mind and body.

8:00 PM Special Olympians vs. ND Basketball Game Joyce Center Field House
12:00 AM Penny Wars End Joyce Center Field House
3:00 AM Championship Games Conclude Joyce Center Field House

Registration

To participate, teams will submit one packet that includes:

  • Rosters/Entry forms
  • Respective entry fees
  • Grand prize check (optional)

The deadline for entries is in early February. Rosters/Entry Forms and Entry Fees must be turned into the front desk at the Rolfs Sports Recreation Center during regular facility hours.

Activities & Pricing

An entrance fee is required for each roster placed on a Late Night Olympics entry form, please refer to activity pricing for team breakdowns and pricing details. Each team will submit one check for all the entrance fees. Checks are made out to RecSports. Additionally FOAPAL numbers may be used for budget transfers.

Point Accumulation & Penny Wars

Teams accumulate points via participation, attendance, events, games, championships, as well as forfeits and Penny Wars. Please see point accumulation breakdown for details.

Grand Prize

Each team participating in Late Night Olympics has the option of submitting a check for $150 when they turn in their packet to the front desk at Rolfs Sports Recreation Center. The Grand Prize will consist of all the $150 contributions made by each team. The proceeds will be spilt in half, with one half going to the St. Joseph County Special Olympics while the other to the winning team.
