August 2018: Corienne Garbison
"I am nominating Corienne Garbison for the 2018 MOST Outstanding Student Employee of the Month for August. Corienne just started working as a Front Desk Attendant in January but has definitely let her leadership skills stand out. Corienne has volunteered this month to pick up many shifts and came in early for a shift so a coworker wouldn’t be late for a meeting. During the times when the North Dome was closed last Spring, she signed up for Fitness Attendant shifts sometimes double ones at the Smith Center. This past weekend when one of her coworkers was late for a shift, she stayed until he got to our facility. That is truly a team player. Corienne is now a Facility Manager. She is very committed to doing her job well especially checking out/in equipment. She is not afraid to take charge. When some varsity basketball players came in the side door and started to shoot around, she made sure they knew they needed to swipe in. When Corienne is the Facility Manager for the evening, I know the North Dome is supervised efficiently and is safe for our patrons. For these reasons I would like to nominate Corienne Garbison for the August 2018 RecSports MOST Outstanding Student Employee of the Month."
