When did you you begin teaching group fitness in general?
The most important step to getting in shape is finding a workout that you absolutely love!
Fitness interests & other hobbies
I played competitive soccer until Sophomore year of college. I started cycling during freshman year of college and began running Half and Full Marathons during Sophomore year! I ran the NYC Marathon in 2017 and will be running the Chicago Marathon in October 2018.
Why my class?
My cycling classes are a combination of a traditional cycling class and a dance party on the bike! I think riding to the beat is perfect for riders of all levels because it really allows riders to personalize their ride and push themselves to whatever level they feel comfortable! The choreography incorporated throughout the ride helps you to forget how hard you are working and really enjoy your workout.
How do you motivate participants?
Through upbeat and motivational music and fun choreography!
What is your favorite style of music to play in class?
I love all kinds of Pop Remixes but really any song with a great beat!
Why do you teach group fitness?
I fell in love with cycling when I discovered riding to the beat!! The first time I rode using this style of cycling, I had more fun working out than I had ever had before. I am excited to bring something different and new to Notre Dame.
