Fitness is a celebration of what your body can do, not a punishment for what it can't.
Fitness interests & other hobbies
I've always felt the importance of having a balanced, healthy lifestyle. I am currently training for a half marathon, and also love to spend time outdoors hiking, biking, and walking my dog. I recently retired from competitive and professional Irish dancing, which I did for over 15 years.
Why my class?
I have a passion for making others feel empowered in their own bodies. My classes will be challenging in ways that require participants to slow down both mentally and physically. I have a lot of fun getting to know my students and creating a light-hearted, relaxed environment.
How do you motivate participants?
I work to infuse positivity into my classes as the primary motivation through music, cuing, and yoga postures. Feeling good in body and spirit is the best way to be motivated, both on and off the mat.
What is your favorite style of music to play in class?
Other than being a big fan of country music (that I don't play too often in class), I enjoy playing instrumental versions of current songs and flamenco style music in the studio.
