The Women’s Club Volleyball Team attended the 2014 Purdue Boilermaker Blackout Tournament at Purdue University this past weekend. The team played three pool play matches, winning all three and placing ND in the Gold Bracket for the second day of play. The club played some of the Top 10 teams in the nation beating out both the ninth and tenth placed teams in the nation. ND finished in third place in the Gold Bracket, losing in a very close game to Missouri.…

The sailing team has made it back to ND from New Orleans Sunday night and the weekend went well for the team. Notre Dame Sailing placed fifth overall, with with Peter Roehmholdt and Maria Skorcz placing 6th in A's and Sarah Eide and Annie Schoenwetter placing fourth in B's.
Over the weekend of February 7-8, the Notre Dame Nordic Ski team traveled to Traverse City, MI to compete in the 38th Annual North American VASA ski race. The Vasa Trail is Michigan’s premier ski course and has challenged skiers for decades. Competitors travel from near and far to compete in this event, and many make a tradition of it. The Men's Squash Club returned from the national tournament at Harvard this past weekend. They had their best tournament of the season, with a full line-up including 5 seniors. The club defeated Vanderbilt 6-3, then defeated Sewanee 9-0, and finished with a 6-3 win against Minnesota in the finals. Notre Dame won the division, marking the first time that ND has ever won a full-team division (the club won the emerging teams division in 2006 with just five players).…
The Women’s Club Volleyball Team attended the UIC Spring Tournament this past weekend. The team came in first in pool play defeating Depaul A, Loyola B, Northern Illinois University A, and Loyola A. The Irish Men's Ice Hockey Club traveled to Ann Arbor, Mich. on Friday to take on Michigan in a two-game series. Playing a Wolverine squad that was headed to Nationals, the Irish fell twice, 5-0 and 2-0. Though Notre Dame threw close to 80 shots on net during the two games, the Irish were unable find the back of the net. Junior goaltender Justin Dancu and sophomore goaltender Nick Stasack played well in the losses.

The Fighting Irish Synchronized Skating team came in first place this weekend at the Midwestern Sectional Synchronized Skating Championships in Hoffman Estates, IL. The team skated a nearly perfect program and performed difficult choreography to a medley of energetic songs by The Temptations. They received a standing ovation at the end of the program and first place marks from four out of the five judges.
This weekend the Notre Dame Bowling Club competed in its own tournament , the Blue and Gold Classic. To start the tournament, Steven Brill and Chris Hecht led the team, both bowling 184s during game one. During the next few games, the team missed more spares and only scored 787 and 785 total in each game.
The Notre Dame Club Wrestling team’s first home event held Sunday, January 19th, was overall a successful one. Notre Dame hosted the University of Pittsburgh and the University of Michigan to a tri-meet held in the Stepan Center. Pitt defeated Michigan 24-19 in the first match of the day.

The Irish opened up the winter semester before classes even started Sunday, January 12 against Ball State, overcoming a lackluster first period to defeat the Cardinals 8-1.
