Those Interhall football players looking to return their equipment will need to do so on Wednesday, November 9 from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. at Rockne Memorial. Equipment will not be accepted at Rolfs Sports Recreation Center, or any other location besides Rockne Memorial.
In order for construction of the three synthetic turf fields, support building, and sand volleyball courts that are scheduled to be completed by the Summer of 2017, Riehle Fields 1, 2, 3, & 4, in addition to the sand volleyball courts adjacent to Stepan Center are currently under construction and unavailable for use.
In a sad and cruel bit of irony, the man who coached and mentored men’s and women’s boxers for a half-century at the University of Notre Dame as part of its club boxing programs lost his own final health fight. Tom Suddes died Monday after a two-year battle with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), often known as Lou Gehrig’s disease. He was 67.
Br. Louis Hurcik, C.S.C., a member of the University Health Services staff and longtime University instructor and former Director of Rockne Memorial, passed away on Sept. 23.
Due to recent flooding, the 2016 Biathlon has been cancelled. There are tentative plans to reschedule this event for spring semester.

Justin Hickey has been named the University of Notre Dame Program Director, Men’s and Women’s Rugby Club/Men’s Head Coach. Hickey departs his current position as Director of Athletics for Moon Area School District in the Pittsburgh area. Prior to his position at Moon Area School District, Hickey served as the Men’s Rugby Head Coach at Clemson University for four and a half years while simultaneously working on his PhD in Athletic Administration. In his final year coaching at Clemson, he was unanimously voted the 2015 Penn Mutual Varsity Cup National Coach of the Year by his peers.

As one of the most storied traditions at Notre Dame and amateur boxing, the 86th Annual Bengal Bouts crowned champions in 11 weight divisions. This uniquely Notre Dame experience annually has over 200 men intensely train for the four round tournament. Congratulations to our 2016 champions!

A huge congrats to Women's Water Polo's Goalie Caley Martinez & two-meter Maddie Renezeder on Feb. 29 Midwest Division Player of the Week Honors. RecSports will operate under a modified schedule during Mid-Term Break, March 4 -13. Additionally, no Group Fitness Clases or Instructional Series will be held March 5 -13. F.A.S.T. Classes will be held during Mid-Term Break.
The Men's Wrestling Club brought three wrestlers to the Great Lakes Conference Championships at Henry Ford College in Dearborn, MI. All three wrestlers qualified and will be competing at the NCWA National Wrestling Championships in Kissimmee, Florida, March 10-12, 2016. These mark the first three National Qualifiers in club history!
