The Men's Water Polo Team competed in the Iowa State Invitational over the weekend. The Irish came out strong against the University of Iowa and beat them 16-3. The Irish's second game was against the Kansas City Masters team, which we lost 8-10 in a very close, competitive match. On Sunday, we beat University of Minn.-Duluth 15-1 and the Des Moines Masters team 15-5.
The key to the weekend was a dominating performance on the defensive side of the ball from all our field players and most notably our goalie Nick Sayre. Our offensive attack was extremely well-balanced, as all 12 of our field players scored at least 1 goal in the 4 games. We are most pleased with the development of our younger players who have come a long way this spring season.
