Veronica started in 2019 as the Aquatics Program and Risk Management Coordinator, and Veronica transitioned to her current role in February 2022. She's a Loyola Chicago alumna, and she received her master's in higher education from Texas A&M University-Commerce in 2019. You'll find Veronica in the Smith Center most days, and you might even see her teaching a fitness class or two! Bri joined the RecSports team in February 2024. She holds a B.S. in Recreation Management from Indiana University and an M.S.Ed. in Adult and Higher Education with a focus in Student Affairs from Northern Illinois University. With experience in a variety of higher education and recreation settings, Bri has discovered a true passion for training and developing student staff. Reflecting on her own college years, some of her favorite memories were formed through connections made in RecSports. Outside of work, Bri enjoys supporting small businesses, attending sporting events, and, most of all, spending quality time with her husband and daughter.

Jarin joined the RecSports team in July of 2024 as a Sport Programs Coordinator. Originally from nearby Goshen, Indiana, he is well aware of the adventures of South Bend weather and the deep culture of Notre Dame Football. Jarin holds an M.S. in Sport Management from Indiana State University and a B.S. in Sport Marketing and Management from Indiana University. He is a true Hoosier through and through. When he is not at work in one of the RecSports facilities, you might find Jarin out officiating high school or collegiate basketball around the region, trying new foods, traveling, or spending time with family and friends. A two-time Ball State University graduate, Gina has been involved in campus recreation and grew to love facilities when she was an undergraduate student in 2018. Gina joined the RecSports team in September of 2023 and serves as the Facility Operations Coordinator of the Smith Center. Originally from Schaumburg, Illinois, she received her undergraduate degree in sports administration and MBA from Ball State University. She enjoys working out, traveling, and live sporting events.

Kyle began his journey in campus recreation and fitness at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, where he worked as a personal trainer and weight room attendant. After earning his bachelor's degree, he pursued a master’s degree at South Dakota State University, serving as a graduate assistant in campus recreation throughout his time there.

What Kyle enjoys most about working in RecSports is the opportunity to connect with a wide variety of people each day and help them take their first steps toward their fitness goals. Outside of work, Kyle is a competitive powerlifter who also enjoys watching sports and playing video games.

Mack joined the RecSports team in September of 2022, and has taken off running ever since! Originally from North Carolina, Mack is learning to embrace the South Bend winters in her role as the Sport Programs Coordinator. Mack loves to play sports and has a special place in her heart for soccer. When she's not out playing in RecSports IM leagues, she's in the office hard at work making sure clubs travel safely, competitions are ready to go, and training student officials. Our resident Aggie, Mikey graduated from Texas A&M University in '22 and '24 with bachelor's and master's degrees in Sport Management. Prior to joining the team in July of 2024, he began his journey in Campus Recreation during his undergrad years with the Sport Clubs program at A&M. His favorite aspect of Campus Recreation is fostering an environment for anyone and everyone to find a community within RecSports. Originally from Fort Worth, Texas, Mikey loves sports, BBQ, and video games. Originally from Grand Rapids, Michigan, Justin enjoys being around people and the energy, as well as around staff and students that truly enjoy what they do. Justin enjoys spending time with family, traveling, and going to the beach. Justin also is a fan of all sports!

Courtney Jankowski serves RecSports as the Facility Operations Coordinator for Rockne Memorial. She was born in Elkhart, Indiana, but spent the majority of her life in Clarksville, Tennessee. Previously, Courtney worked with the Nashville Predators at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee. She loves spending time with her family, friends, and traveling!

Courtney is grateful for the opportunity to work alongside the great students of Notre Dame and to continue growing RecSports on campus. GO IRISH!

A former Hokie and Wildcat, Kaitlyn started her fitness journey in 2017 as a certified personal trainer and has continued to expand her fitness knowledge ever since. Kaitlyn joined the RecSports team in March 2022 and serves as the Assistant Director of Fitness & Instructional Programs. Originally from Kent Island, Maryland, Kaitlyn spent her undergraduate career at Virginia Tech and received her master's degree from the University of Kentucky. She enjoys teaching indoor cycling classes, however, is open to suggestions on how to ride a real bike. She's a happy dog mom of two sweet dachshunds, Mac and Cheese, and is an avid video gamer. Matthew joined the RecSports team in Fall 2017 as the Facility Operations Coordinator of the Joyce Center North Dome. Matthew enjoys working in an active environment and takes pleasure in helping guide student employees, by being an exemplar and providing them with some basic job responsibilities that they will need post-graduation. One quote that Matthew likes to refer to is, "Young people need models, not critics." - John Wooden. Originally from South Bend, Indiana, Matthew enjoys cooking, attending Notre Dame sporting events, and playing noon-time basketball. Matthew also loves coaching fast-pitch softball and basketball and spending time with his wife and three children.

Drew has worked in collegiate recreation in some capacity since 2008, and has been at the University of Notre Dame since December 2017. Originally from Harrisonburg, Virginia, Drew holds a M.S. with a concentration in Campus Recreation Leadership, and a B.S. in Integrated Science & Technology, from James Madison University. Drew is passionate about seeing students make connections and development opportunities outside the classroom that can support their lifelong educational experiences. Outside of the office, Drew enjoys spending time with his family and friends and playing golf.

Colin O’Shaughnessy serves RecSports as the Facility Operations Coordinator for the Smith Center. He brings experience from McNeese State Athletics, where he served as a Graduate Assistant for Facilities and Game Operations, and LSU UREC, where he worked as a Facility Operations Supervisor. Colin earned a bachelor’s degree in Sports Administration from Louisiana State University and an MBA from McNeese State University. In his free time, he enjoys cooking new recipes, staying active in the gym, following college athletics, and spending time outdoors.

Serving as the Student Engagement and Outreach Coordinator, Kayla joined RecSports in June 2023. Originally from Normal, Illinois, Kayla is a proud University of Iowa Hawkeye alumni and went on to earn her master's degree in Recreation Administration from Illinois State University. She loves to participate in the intramural volleyball leagues or take part in a fitness class or two.

Kyle joined the RecSports family in July of 2016 as the Intramural Sports Intern and transitioned to the Intramural Sports Program Coordinator in July 2017. Kyle transitioned into his current role as Sport Programs Coordinator - Intramural and Club Sports in July 2019. Originally from Orrville, Ohio, Kyle enjoys sports, spending the weekends outdoors, and reading. Kyle enjoys working towards making sure students have an enjoyable college experience through participating in Intramural Sports and other areas of campus recreation.

Nathan joined the RecSports staff in 2010. Walker graduated from Notre Dame in 2002 with a Bachelor's in History and Computer Applications. He went on to receive his Master's in Educational Leadership-Higher Education Administration from Western Michigan University in 2009. Under Walker's leadership, the boxing programs have donated a record amount of money to Holy Cross Missions in Bangladesh and East Africa, primarily through women's Baraka Bouts and men's Bengal Bouts. Prior to coming to Notre Dame, Walker implemented varsity athletics at Holy Cross College and served as the Athletic Director for five years.

Nathan's favorite aspect of campus recreation is working with students. Being able to use athletic competition as the vehicle for student development is very rewarding and helps fuel individuals' positive energy to accomplish their goals.

Outside of the office he enjoys spending time with family doing a variety of activities. Nathan enjoys exercising and coaching boxing and teaches a high-intensity interval training class.

Mark brings over twenty years of recreational sports and student development experience to the role. Most recently the Director of Campus Recreation at Loyola University Chicago, he developed and oversaw all programs for campus recreation, including fitness, intramurals, club sports, aquatics, instructional programs, and outdoor experiential programs. He also coordinated and provided direction for the Department’s strategic plan as well as Loyola’s multi-million dollar Campus Recreation and Student Development facility renovation and expansion project.

Prior to his tenure at Loyola, Mark was the Director of Recreational Sports at Seattle University. He also served Western Kentucky University for over a decade in various recreational sports capacities. He began his career in Campus Recreation at Gannon University, where he also coached football.

With over two decades of involvement in the National Intramural-Recreational Sports Association (NIRSA) through numerous committees and appointments, Mark recently served as the Director of the NIRSA Flag Football National Championship and Chair of the NIRSA Flag Football Work Team.

Mark hails from Erie, Pennsylvania, and received a B.A. from Mercyhurst College. He holds an M.A. in Parks and Recreation Administration from Western Kentucky University.
