In order for construction of the three synthetic turf fields, support building, and sand volleyball courts that are scheduled to be completed by the Summer of 2017, Riehle Fields 1, 2, 3, & 4, in addition to the sand volleyball courts adjacent to Stepan Center are currently under construction and unavailable for use. The project involves a phased excavation of the site and drilling of approximately 679 geothermal wells. Click here to see maps of the project’s three phases.

This project is funded in thanks to a $5 million gift to the University of Notre Dame by Kenn and Pamela Ricci. The fields, located adjacent to Stepan Center and to be named Ricci Family Fields, will be used by the Notre Dame marching band as a rehearsal field. When not in use by the band, Ricci Family Fields will be used by RecSports for Intramural and Club Sports practices and competitions.

The LaBar Practice Complex, West Quad, and sand volleyball courts on campus will play host to Intramural and Club Sports practices and competitions.

Sand volleyball courts are available for open recreation play when not reserved for Intramural competition.

Sand volleyball courts on campus:
