Congratulations to Flag Football Official Mary Larson for winning the MOST Outstanding Student Employee of the Month this September! Mary’s dedication to her position as a referee and positive attitude make all the difference to our community and events. Coupled with her leadership and impact at work, the decision was a no-brainer!
Every week, Mary took her extra time to cover open shifts beyond what she was scheduled to ensure every game went off on time and to get a chance to work with her fellow officials. She says that being as helpful as possible with her time and effort has been a great way to develop her knowledge and gives her a new appreciation for the game she loves. And being able to communicate the rules she knows made her team even better at flag football!
Between developing close relationships with her supervisors and fostering a strong team-mindset and supportive environment, Mary’s commitment is impossible to ignore. Her supervisors admire her skill and willingness to learn and ask questions, and know she will continue to bring her energy and enthusiasm to the field in the future.
