Notre Dame’s Women’s Club Lacrosse team opened up their season on Sunday, March 1st at home against the Northwestern Wildcats. Freshman Hannah Dunn led the team with 5 goals in a 23-8 win. The effort was spread across the team as twelve Irish players put up points. Possession was key with Notre Dame winning 29 draw controls and an impressive 17 ground balls. Freshman Maggie Holohan led the team with 7 draw controls. Notre Dame’s season will pick back up after Spring Break when they compete in a playday at Marquette on March 21st against Marquette, Michigan State University, and University of Wisconsin-Madison.
