The Rockne Memorial is the prominent semi-Gothic building on the west side of campus, in South Quad, covering nearly an acre of ground and offering many recreational opportunities. Even with the inception of the Smith Center for Recreational Sports in 2018, Rockne remains a bustling venue for many club sports, intramurals, fitness classes, aquatic instruction, and general recreation, as well as lifesaving classes for RecSports staff.
