Officiating Opportunities

RecSports hires interested and enthusiastic officials throughout the year to officiate many Intramural Sports. Experience is not required as all officials will participate in a training clinic prior to the season. Officials are provided with a uniform. The pay rate starts at $16/hour. Most games last no longer than 60 minutes.

Officials may also have the opportunity to work non-Notre Dame games throughout the year. These games range from youth football, regional football, and basketball tournaments.

How to Become an Official

Step 1: Find the training for the specific sport you would like to officiate. (list of sport specific officiating trainings below)

Step 2: Attend a mandatory training clinic. During this clinic, Sport Programs Coordinators will help students complete their hiring paperwork.
