Group Fitness Yoga Buff Class

Take a break with RecSports with a variety of FREE Fitness Classes. No registration required, donations will be collected for the Food Bank of Northern Indiana. Spots are limited and are on a first come, first served basis. Donation Drop-In Classes are free and open to the community, courtesy of RecSports.

Group Fitness Classes are open to any Notre Dame student, faculty, staff, or spouse of these groups. RecSports offers a wide variety of group fitness classes to accommodate a range of skills, interests, and age groups.

  • 50% off select Group Fitness Classes beginning March 8: Miss your chance to sign up for a Group Fitness Class this semester? It’s never too late! Select Group Fitness Classes will be 50% off beginning on March 8. Classes meet January 15 – May 2. Classes will not meet March 10 – 18 (Spring Break) or March 30 – April 2 (Easter Holiday). Please note, no refunds will be given for classes that are registered for at 50% off.
  • Registration: Group Fitness Class registration for Spring 2018 begins via RecRegister on January 18 at 7:30 a.m. Registration is ongoing until classes are full. Although registration begins on January 18 for Group Fitness Classes, you may still attend any Group Fitness Class for free from January 15 – 21. University of Notre Dame RecRegister accepts Visa, MasterCard, and Discover with online registration. 
  • Class dates: Classes meet January 15 – May 2. Classes will not meet March 10 – 18 (Spring Break) or March 30 – April 2 (Easter Holiday). *Exception: Saturday Zumba® will only meet January 20 – March 3.
  • Refunds: Full refunds available until February 2; half-price refunds through February 11. Please note, no refunds will be given for classes that are registered for at 50% off. FREE Saturday Rotating Group Fitness Classes   //   Click here for the Spring 2018 schedule.

As a part of our Spring 2018 offerings, RecSports offers FREE rotating Group Fitness Classes on Saturdays throughout the semester. No pre-registration required, just show up! Participants must be current Notre Dame students, faculty, or staff members to participate. Spouses of these groups are also able to participate.

F.A.S.T. (Faculty & Staff Training) is open to Notre Dame employees, spouses, and retirees. These special fitness classes are similar to the format of a few of our popular group fitness classes with the faculty/staff demographic in mind.

Instructional Series   //   Click here for the Spring 2018 schedule.

Instructional Series are open to any Notre Dame student, faculty, staff, or spouse of these groups. For those looking to learn a new skill, such as Tai Chi or Partner Latin Dance, or gain a certification, like S.C.U.B.A. or lifeguarding, RecSports programs a large menu of instructional classes. These classes meet for a series of weeks rather than semester long, and lessons build upon each other. 

  • Registration: Instructional Series registration for Spring 2018 begins via RecRegister on January 18 at 7:30 a.m. Exception: For classes that begin after March 20 (Advanced Beginner Tennis and TRX® Series 2), registration begins March 8.
  • Class dates: Each Instructional Series meets over the span on multiple weeks and varies dependent on the series.

RecSports offers American Red Cross Adult CPR/AED and First Aid certification courses. This blended course combines award-winning, engaging and interactive online simulation learning plus an in-person classroom session to learn and practice critical lifesaving skills for certification.

  • Registration: Certification Class registration for Spring 2018 begins via RecRegister on January 5. Registration ends the Friday prior to the class offering at 5:00 p.m.
  • Class dates: Certification Classes will be held on January 15, January 28, February 28, February 25, March 25, and April 29.
  • Class location: All American Red Cross Adult CPR/AED and First Aid certification courses will be held in Rockne Memorial Rooms 109 & 110

Private Fitness Class Request

Private Group Fitness Classes are a great way for departments, residence halls, etc. to bond and get fit together! Please fill out the Private Fitness Class Request Form to schedule a class. 

*Requests should be submitted at least 2 weeks prior to the desired date to allow sufficient time to schedule an instructor. Submission of this form does not guarantee that your request can be granted.

  • Cardio/Strength (Zumba®, Bootcamp, Total Body Conditioning, etc.): $35/class
  • Yoga: $60/class
