About Group Fitness Classes

Group Fitness Classes are open to any Notre Dame student, faculty, staff, retiree, or spouse. All ages and skill levels are welcome.

Registration

Participants will register for a spot for a single class date. Group Fitness Classes are currently free of charge. Registration for each class will open three days (72 hours) prior to the class start time and close 10 minutes before class begins. Registration is available via RecRegister. Notre Dame students, faculty, staff, and retirees may use their netID and password to log in. Spouses need to obtain their unique user ID and password by clicking here and requesting a spouse account.

Class Info for In-Person Fitness Classes

In accordance with University policy, all participants in a University campus space will be expected to wear cloth or commercial grade face masks at all times when they are, or may be, in the presence of other individuals.

Accessing virtual classes once you register

There are two ways in which you may access the virtual class you have registered for when it is time for the class to begin:

Option 1 via RecRegister
  1. Login to RecRegister.

  2. Navigate to the selected class.
  3. Click the Join Class button. 

Option 2 via confirmation email

Access the virtual class you have registered for by locating the confirmation email you received and click the Join Class button in the email.

Class Check-In

In-Person Fitness Classes

Participants must be on a class roster and checked in with the Front Desk to access the Smith Center for Recreational Sports.Upon arrival to the class, participants must check in with the instructor. Classes will begin at their scheduled time. Late entry is not permitted. We recommend arriving 5-10 minutes early to ensure both check ins are completed before class begins. Participants are expected to leave the facility after the class ends. 

Virtual Fitness Classes

Participants will be required to check into class with the instructor prior to class starting. All classes will begin at their scheduled time. Late entry will not be permitted. Individuals not registered for the class will be removed from the class.
